No two days are the same and every day is a surprise. Now that the Powerpoints have been made, Claudia and I can go with the flow wherever we go.
Friday we went to Minger High School to meet with admins and teachers, deliver a presentation, and then joined the school at their end of year luncheon. Another school booked the banquet room next door to ours. They definitely had a lot more to drink and a stage for karaoke.

The principal at Minger asked my host Mindy to take Claudia and I to a local pottery studio. We learned about the pottery-making process and painted our own plates. Joa-Way, Mindy's son, and Ann Wong, Caludia host mom, joined us.

Afterwards, Claudia and I joined the Wong family at their Art Club (San-Ying Arts Village). They had a pot luck and celebrated all of the June birthdays, inlcuding a 70 year old hippee woman who karate chopped the cake and put icing over everyone's faces. Every dish was unique and delicious with one exception. Taiwan is famous for it's Stinky Tofu dish. My review: it's stinky and tastes like poop. Hey, at least I tried it!

Nice pictures. Looks like you are getting more than enough to eat. A shame to let food, go to waste, but your hosts certainly have to eat their share. Hope you get over the cough.
ReplyDeleteMost of these were taken with my iPhone. My camera battery died earlier and I didn't have the back up with me.
DeleteI visited the doctor today. He gave me a cocktail of medications. I'm going to Google them now.
